This is a wooden art piece made from Birch and recycled composite wooden core. As this is a natural material, you can expect some visual "imperfections" such as knots or thickness variation. Each of these has been sanded by hand to remove the majority of the burrs, as well as being hand-stained. 

Technical Information:

This is a battery powered lamp. The source is two CR2032 batteries mounted to the back of the lamp. You can gently pull the switch/battery compartment and it will pop off the back of the lamp. Remove two small screws on the bottom of the battery holder and you can replace them as needed. The battery holder should then re-adhere itself to the back of the lamp. 

The background cutouts are luminescent and change color with angle and direction of light.
