This is a wooden carving made from Birch and an environmentally conscious composite core. Each of these carvings has been sanded by to remove the majority of the burrs, as well as being hand-stained.

There is no back in this piece.

This shelf has a screw clamp mounted to the back of it. This can be used to secure it to the front of a bookshelf shelf, a window sill, a table top, or any other surface up to 1" thick.  The clamp also has a 1" depth. Since it is a screw clamp, the shelf can be removed and reinstalled anywhere else at any time.
